In Florida, the law states that the front side windows of a vehicle must allow at least 25% of the light to pass through. The back side windows and rear window must allow at least 15% of the light to pass through. These percentages are measured using a standard called Visible Light Transmission (VLT). The lower the VLT percentage, the darker the tint will appear on the window. So, the darkest tint allowed in Florida for the front side windows is 25% VLT.
